The Making of My Bucket List

I was inspired when I watched the movie The Bucket List over a year ago. It was absolutely encouraging. I was intrigued in starting one but hadn’t taken the initiative to do so until now. Maybe I am doing it now because many things that I wanted to put on that list are happening and I want to make sure they are noted as time passes by.

What is a bucket list? It’s a list of things we want to do before we die. So here it goes, mine has just started and as I accomplish them I will cross them off as I venture on in life. I will cross them off here on my blog that way I can share these experiences with you!

What’s on your Bucket List?

This is the link to my bucket list!

Let’s Elope in my Beautiful Wedding Dress

http://weddingdresses-4u.blogspot.com/2009/08/dress-for-wedding.html

…please?!

This wedding is just too much to handle!

I just want to be with my honey, tell him how much I love him, make a pact before God to love, honor, respect, care for each other, laugh and cry in good times and in bad, never to part, as long as we both shall live. Isn’t it what it’s all about?

Oh, and I want to wear my pretty dress!

Plus, I’m planning the wedding to be outdoor and I woke up today and it rained! Uh, I need a meeting with mother nature to discuss about my wedding day, and since I can’t get a meeting with mother nature, I am looking for back up locations.

Now my head hurts…

P.S.- That’s not my dress, mine is prettier! I can’t show it because Danny will see!

I’m Getting Married! [As If You Didn't Already Know]

http://www.goldhawk.com/img/fck/Image/wedding_date_book_web.jpg

It’s all hitting me!

I ordered my wedding veil online and received it about a few weeks ago. I try it on occasionally and pretend its my wedding day! I am so excited! I have to yet send out the invites but they are printed and ready to go. We are moments away from booking a great photographer who will do the job for a great price! The table and chairs are reserved and so are the linens. The cater is hired and the food menu is almost done. My dress will be home in about two weeks and after that I believe I won’t sleep just to stare at it!

Can you tell I am excited?

The cake arrangements are still pending and the house needs some work. With all that said… I enjoy my days off from work like never before. My last day of work will be sometime within the first week of October. The best part is DANNY will be here by then! I can ‘t wait to see my groom! Planning this wedding seems to have a toll of different rolls of emotions on me- some days I say I rather get eloped (the only thing that’s stopping me is the beautiful gown I have for the wedding and I MUST, must, must, wear it), other days, I am a wreck and rather not even think about the wedding, and days like these where somethings must get done and wedding is all I think about!

Nonetheless we have 42 days ’till the wedding!

Moving is also on my mind. Soon after the wedding I will be moving to Oceanside with my groom. We have our eyes on a beautiful apartment and are hoping we can get all things settled soon after Danny arrives. More things on my mind! Apartment moving, new furniture shopping, pots and pans and spatulas, car shopping, and school hunting (once we’re settled in), and most importantly… church hunting. We are praying that God leads us where He wants us to serve and receive. Though as for me, I am sad to be leaving this church family, I know that God has something greater for us in Oceanside- and we are READY!

That’s all for now!

Keep us in your prayers!

Two Men

His Treat!

Less than fifty days ‘till my wedding. Putting all things aside with wedding havoc, I decided to take some time to write. There is something so amazing that happens daily in my life now. I fall in love with two wonderful men. First and foremost there is my God, my Lord, and my Savior. Then there is Danny, my fiancé, soon to be husband, and Marine.
A few months ago, Danny and I started reading His Needs Her Needs as a part the pre-marital class (I recommend that book to everyone who plans in marrying one day). As Danny read the first chapter, he shared to me his thoughts on the book. Later on he tells me “Betty, my goal is to win your heart over every day”. Man that made my heart melt! I noticed change soon after. Sometimes in the simplest ways he would try so hard to make me laugh, he would compliment me even more often, he started praying for me everything, so on and so forth. The list goes on. This week he did something out of the ordinary! He being in Georgia made a Starbucks order through phone, paid with his card, and told me to pick up my coffee. His treat to me! Sometimes there have been things I wouldn’t notice, sometimes I would, and all I knew was that somewhere in his heart; Danny wanted to win me over, daily.

Isn’t that what God does every day? He tries to show us knew ways, wants us to see the rather more simple things in life and teaches us how to laugh through the storm. A few months ago I prayed to God to show me how to laugh at the silliest things. I had become bitter, hard, and uninviting. As I made that prayer while driving, immediately God began to work! I saw a Veterinarian Hospital and there was a caricature of a cow standing up waving. Normally, I would make a comment such as “wow, these people are so unprofessional with such sign”, instead I started laughing! Then about ten minutes later down the road I noticed two little birds on my lane and I was scared that for some reason I would run over these birds! Suddenly I hear a little voice saying “Hey meet you at the tree at three!” then another voice says “See you there!”. Talk about amusing! From then on, I was enjoying the little things. God wins my heart over every day.
So here I am, thanking God for placing such a wonderful, amazing, romantic, handsome, and God loving man in my life. Knowing that I will be spending the rest of my life with a man that knows the ways of God is something I’ve always prayed for. I’ve got my God, my Rock, my Savior, and life and boy am I in love!
