Maybe because through the cross we are saved. Yes the cross was made by the enemies of Jesus, but because Jesus died for us there, Christians see it as a representation of our salvation. I hope that helps you.

Abu Alkayyis,
Hi! Remember that it was not the Christians from the early church that began the “love” for the cross. It was not only a sign of curse and punishment, but it also reminded them that being a follower of Christ was more than just talk. It meant that they too could be on that same cross as their Savior (many persecuted and died). Also, it was not the disciples themselves that called each other Christians. Rather, it was their enemies. It was a word of mockery.

Abu Alkyyis,
It is as simple as this. Christ loved us all. He was a breathing human being just like us all. He is so blessed to have performed such miracles such as curing the man with Leprosy, driving out the demon out of a man, or even better, raising a dead child in front of the mother. He loved us so much that He knew he was going to die for us. We must understand that He is our Lord and Savior. Imagine a world without Jesus, other than the Old Testament in the bible, but the Old Testament foreshadowed Jesus’s coming to the earth and His death for us. He loved us so much that He died for us.
